1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Wallmate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Fair Use Policy
Wallmate is designed for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the wallpapers provided through the App on your personal devices. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense any wallpapers obtained through the App.
We reserve the right to limit or suspend access to users who abuse the service or engage in activities that negatively impact the experience for others.
3. No Copyright Content Uploads
When using the custom wallpaper feature or contributing wallpapers to the Wallmate community library, you must only upload content that you own or have the legal right to use. You may not upload:
- Copyrighted images, videos, or media without proper authorization
- Content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
Wallmate is not responsible for any content uploaded by users. You assume full liability for any content you upload to the App.
4. Intellectual Property
All wallpapers included in the Wallmate library remain the property of their respective creators and rights holders. Wallmate provides access to these wallpapers under licence and does not claim ownership over third-party content.
The Wallmate brand, logo, and application code are the intellectual property of Wallmate and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
5. License
Wallmate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your macOS device(s) for personal use, subject to these Terms.
6. Purchases & Payments
Wallmate is offered as a one-time purchase for $4.90 USD. Payment processing is handled by Polar, our authorized merchant of record:
- We never see or store your full payment card details
- There are no recurring charges or subscription renewals
- Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) may be added by Polar based on your billing location
- Each purchase includes one license key for personal use on one Mac
- If purchase abuse, fraud, or unauthorized resale is detected, access may be suspended or terminated without refund
Wallmate does not require an account; entitlement is associated with your Polar license key delivered after checkout.
7. Refunds
Wallmate refund requests are accepted within 7 days of purchase and are reviewed in accordance with our Refund Policy, Polar's buyer process, and applicable consumer protection law. Approved refunds are processed by Polar to the original payment method because Polar is our Merchant of Record. To request a refund, contact us using the details in Section 13 or visit the Refund Policy at https://www.wallmate.app/refund.
8. System Requirements
Wallmate requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer and is compatible with both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. We do not guarantee compatibility with future macOS versions, beta builds, or unsupported hardware configurations.
9. Disclaimer
Wallmate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wallmate and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
