1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Wallmate ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Use of Service
Wallmate is a macOS application that provides cinematic live video wallpapers from a curated library. Wallmate is intended for personal, non-commercial use on Mac devices you own or control.
You agree not to:
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publicly display the wallpapers obtained through the App
- Extract, scrape, or repackage the wallpaper library outside of normal use within the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others
We reserve the right to limit or suspend access to users who abuse the service or engage in activities that negatively impact the service or other users.
3. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Wallmate grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on macOS device(s) you own or control for personal, non-commercial use.
4. Intellectual Property
All wallpapers included in the Wallmate library remain the property of their respective creators and licensors. Wallmate provides access to these wallpapers under license and does not transfer ownership of any third-party content to you.
The Wallmate name, logo, branding, and application code are the intellectual property of Wallmate and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written permission.
Custom video import is not currently supported. If user-uploaded content is introduced in a future release, additional terms governing user content will apply, and you will be responsible for ensuring you have all necessary rights to any content you upload.
5. Purchases & Payments
Wallmate is offered as a one-time purchase for $7.90 USD. Payment processing is handled by Paddle, our authorized merchant of record:
- We never see or store your full payment card details
- There are no recurring charges or subscription renewals
- Applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) may be added by Paddle based on your billing location
- Each purchase is for personal use on Mac devices you own or control
- If purchase abuse, fraud, or unauthorized resale is detected, access may be suspended or terminated without refund
Wallmate does not require an account; entitlement is associated with your purchase via Paddle and the license key delivered after checkout.
6. Refunds
Refund requests will be reviewed in accordance with Paddle's buyer policy and applicable consumer protection law. As a general rule, refund requests submitted within 14 days of purchase will be honored if the App is non-functional on a supported macOS version. Refunds are not available after this window except where required by law. To request a refund, contact us using the details in Section 13.
7. System Requirements
Wallmate requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer and is compatible with both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. We do not guarantee compatibility with future macOS versions, beta builds, or unsupported hardware configurations.
8. Privacy & Data
Wallmate is built with privacy in mind:
- No account or sign-up is required to use the App
- We collect only the minimal data necessary to deliver and license the App
- Payment information is handled by Paddle and never stored by us
- We do not sell your data

9. Disclaimer
Wallmate is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components, or that it will operate identically across all hardware and macOS configurations.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wallmate and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of the App after updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, except where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
